“McVickar” House

The McVickar House is home to the Irvington Historical Society, located on Main Street in Irvington, N.Y. The house dates back to 1853, and the interesting part of this project was working with spruce flooring that was 157 years old. The first and second floor was removed and re-laid, along with flooring taken from the third floor to make up the difference in material that was needed. Floors were sanded and refinished using 1 coat of Dura Seal golden brown stain and then three coats of satin tung oil applied.
